- By Kim Gregory - and thanks to Ms. O'Neill for the score keeping! Photos will be posted here later this week.

Saturday results were :
1st James Birkinshaw age 18 (Sheffield, England)
2nd Ronny Kemp (NY, California, now North Carolina)
3rd Robert Curry age 37 (California)

What a wild weekend of racing! A real international event with racers from Australia, England, Canada, California, Oregon, Colorado, plus many local riders. Jamie Birkinshaw and Adrian 'Skip' Newman (Australian), both rode for England's St.Austell Gulls last season.

The attendance was lower than Friday night's 3,800, but they cheered just as loud! Everyone was impressed with the show.

The crashes were what many came to see, and they got lots! Friday night a quad was flipped right over, pinning it's rider underneath. This was nearly repeated on Saturday night. Luckily there were no serious injuries this weekend. A surprise to many was Californian Mandy "Wild Child" Brodil, a female quad rider. She was a front runner in many of her events, and was hit hard on Saturday night, lifting her quad high into the air. When she came down, she just went FASTER!

Saturday night's main event was excitement to the max! James Birkinshaw grabbed an early lead, and coming around turn four on the third lap was surprised to see his way blocked by a fallen rider (Matt King) and one of the 'gym mats' that pad the outside wall. He narrowly avoided colliding, jumping the mat, and the rest of the pack followed him past.
