Ronnie Correy 1 2 3 2 1* 9 + 1
Roman Povazhny 2 1* 1 0 2 6 + 1
Wayne Carter 0 0 0 0
Heat 1 - Todd Wiltshire ; Jesper B Jensen ; Sam Ermolenko ; Mark Lemon ;
58.9 (3-3)(3-3)
Heat won in the quickest time of the season by over half a second by Todd.
Lemo way at the back and clearly not fit
Heat 2 - Lukas Dryml ; Roman Povazhny ; Ales Dryml ; Wayne Carter ; 60.3
(4-2)(7-5)
Excellent first corner by Lukas and a comfortable win
Heat 3 - Adam Skornicki ; Steve Johnston ; Shane Parker ; Jan Staechmann(R)
; 60.2 (2-4)(9-9)
Skornicki with a flying start to lead all the way and win fairly comforatbly
from Johno, Staek packing up early on
Heat 4 - Jimmy Nilsen ; Lukas Dryml ; Ronnie Correy ; Wayne Carter ; 60.1
(5-1)(14-10)
Correy hit the tapes and went from 15 yards. Cheetajs made the gate and
although Correy got on terms with Lukas on lap 3 he was unable to pass
Heat 5 - Jesper B Jensen ; Sam Ermolenko ; Steve Johnston ; Jan Staechmann
; 59.4 (1-5)(15-15)
Good gates by the Wolves for a straight forward win
Heat 6 - Todd Wiltshire ; Ronnie Correy ; Roman Povazhny ; Mark Lemon ;
59.2 (3-3)(18-18)
Race of the night and possibly of the season from Todd. The Wolves both made
the start and Todd went around Roman off turn 2. Ronnie led for 3 laps with
Todd all over the back of him. After lining him up Todd swooped round the
outside of Ronnie with a stunning pass. All credit to Ronnie for allowing
him the space to race though
Heat 7 - Jimmy Nilsen ; Shane Parker ; Ales Dryml ; Adam Skornicki ; 59.9
(4-2)(22-20)
Won from the gate with Skornicki making no impression on Ales Dryml
Heat 8 - Mark Lemon ; Lukas Dryml ; Roman Povahzny ; Sam Ermolenko(X) ; Aw
(5-1)(27-21)
The controversial one !! The Cheetahs made the start and Roman got all
crossed up on the 2nd bend impeding his teammate Ermolenko. Ermolenko slowed
expecting the race to be stopped and when Frank Ebdon didn't Sam continued a
slow tour of the track waving at the ref with the other 3 racing in front of
him. After 2 laps they caught up and instead of moving to the centre green
he simply dumped his bike 3/4 of the way out on the 1st/2nd bend and hurdled
over the safety fence just as the other riders passed by. I have to say that
maybe Sam was unlucky the race was not stopped but the way he behaved was
very silly and potentially dangerous. He had 2 laps to get off the track if
he didn't want to race but instead spun his bike round and simply dumped it
on the track. He is an experienced rider for who I certainly have a lot of
respect but his actions tonight were way out of order. He was fined by the
referee for Ungentlmanly Conduct despite claiming his layed the bike down
because he was injured. He was excluded and the race awarded
Heat 9 - Ronnie Correy ; Steve Johnston ; Jan Staechmann ; Roman Povazhny ;
59.4 (3-3)(30-24)
I reckon a mistake by the Wolves Team Manager here. Should have given Carter
his last ride to allow Povazhny in Heat 14, and it proved important.
Heat 10 - Adam Skornicki ; Todd Wiltshire ; Shane Parker ; Mark Lemon ;
(2-4)(32-28)
Top class ride by Skornicki to hold of the hartd chasing Wiltshire and with
Parker passing the tiring Lemon the Wolves were back in it
Heat 11 - Sam Ermolenko ; Jimmy Nilsen ; Jesper B Jensen ; Ales Dryml ; 60.1
(2-4)(34-32)
Jimmy made the start but an excellent first corner by Sam saw him ahead
Heat 12 - Steve Johnston ; Roman Povazhny ; Shane Parker ; Lukas Dryml ;
60.8 (3-3)(37-35)
Johno made a start when he needed to and led all the way from the hard
chasing Povazhny
Heat 13 - Jimmy Nilsen ; Ronnie Correy ; Todd Wiltshire ; Jesper B Jensen ;
59.7 (4-2)(41-37)
Another key race. Jimmy won from the gate but the Wolves pair while team
riding Todd seemed to lose each other allowing Todd to again sweep past
Jensen with a superb outside pass
Heat 14 - Adam Skornicki ; Lukas Dryml ; Jan Staechmann ; Wayne Carter ;
60.9 (3-3)(44-40)
Another storming Skornicki gate with Staek battling past Carter for the
point. As I said had Carter's 3rd ride been used in Heat 9 this may have
been different
Heat 15 - Jimmy Nilsen ; Sam Ermolenko ; Ronnie Correy ; Todd Wiltshire ;
59.9 (3-3)(47-43)
An easy win for Nilsen with Wiltshire trying to join him on the back
straight bulked by Sam who closed the door on him big time. Still the
meeting was won and it didn't really matter
All in all a fine win for the Cheetahs with the new boys Lemo and Staek not
yet firing on all cylinders, Staek's having engine problems and Lemo is some
way from full fitness but R/R for him is no good to us. Todd scored only 9
but I don't believe he's ridden better all season, Jimmy was top class and
really should have had a max. Johno seemed slower than normal but still
scored well and Ales Dryml was definitley more on the pace than he has been.
The match winner though was Lukas Dryml with a superb paid 11. He seems to
have come back very strong and hopefully we are now beginning to see the
real potential in him.
For Wolves, they were solid without being spectacular. Jensen rode pretty
well early on but tailed off, Parker did OK as a guest and was always in the
thick of it and miles better than when he visited with Kings Lynn. Correy
did a reasonable jon and Povazhny got better as the meeting went on. Carter
is not on the pace and needs PL for me. Skornicki was excellent. He won 3
good races but suprisingly was tailed off behind Ales Dryml in his other. He
does look a fine prospect and his celebration Donuts are a bit different.
Oxford wil improve because Staek/Lemo will contribute more than 5 between
them on a regular basis. The main thing is that it was a good meeting with
close racing adn a good amount of passing (unlike Ipswich)

Poole's destiny clung on heat 8 when Howe and Woodifield rode superbly to
thwart the Pirates tactical move drafting in Havelock. This 5-1 to the home
side came hot on the heels of an exciting heat 7 when Rossiter rode like a
man possessed, blitzing down the back straight to pass both Karlsson and
Nicholls. The Swede came back and looked like wrestling a shared heat but
Rossiter was having none of it, rode a desperate last turn and re-took
Karlsson, blocking his line in the run to the flag.
Loram, well under par, suffered a seized motor in heat 13 whilst attempting
to improve on his 3rd place. He crashed into the safety fence on second lap
and race was awarded. Nicholls penalised at the tapes in the academic last
heat, caught out as Sullivan inched forward. Eventually Nicholls agreed/was
allowed to go off 15m handicap. He was not far off Karlsson's back wheel at
the finish.
