Sorry for this late comment of Peters withdraw from Belle Vue.
We know Peter since he has won the U-21 World title. We`re some good
friends of him and following all his meetings sometimes live, sometimes via
Internet. We also know the payment-trouble at Belle Vue the last few month.
We`ve meet Peter last weekend at Elgane/Norway during the
Scandinavian-Final. Peter told us about the difference with the payment at
Belle Vue. We also have spoken to John Jorgensen last week and he told us
almost the same problems with the payment.
In our opinion John and Peter has done the right decision, because nobody
wants to ride for nothing. All the traveling, bikes preparations, etc. cost
a lot of money. Every week the promotion expect 100% performance from each
rider, but you`ll be frustrated if you`ve done a good job but not receiving
money for that.

Can anyone help this guy?

I was a big Speedway fan back in the seventies, not missing a home
Swindon fixture from 1971 to 1977 (privileged to see Briggo ride for the
Robins, although past his best). I was talking to a friend of mine from
that era and somehow we got talking about Soren Sjosten (basically
because we could never pronounce his name properly!), but he happened to
mention that he had sadly passed away.
Can you confirm or deny this?
Regards
Nick Curtis
