After a discussion that I had at King's Lynn, after the meeting
yesterday, I will not be making any postings to the lists due to my
opinions not being "flavour of the month" in some quarters, and
apparently making some situations worse than they were in the
beginning.
Thanks for your time......

I am sorry to hear this. This is not the first time a list member has made this
comment, and I think it is a poor show when list members cannot comment freely.
I cannot remember seeing anything very controversial, so what have they got
upset about.

A three man Glasgow side were never going to seriously threaten the
Islanders on the big pacy Smallbrook circuit.
The Scotts relied exclusively on excellent guest David Walsh, Les Collins
and, to a lesser degree, Emiliano Sanchez.
The Islandsers were a much better balanced side with all seven riders
contributing to the victory which saw them take the bonus point too.

Subject: Tomasz Gollob retires from Coventry !
Date: Thu, 27 Jul 2000 13:21:36 +0300
Hi, All!
After the surgery held on his collarbone yesterday noon, Tomasz Gollob decided
to-day morning that he will not be able to start in the Grand Prix of Great Britain in Coventry!...
The PZM (Polish Motorcycle & Auto Federation) got official information from
Bydgoszcz and informed immediately the FIM.
According to the SGP Rules Ole Olsen invited
to Cioventry Jacek Gollob, weho is number 3 on the reserve list. A
semi-official source informs that Jacek, who just returned from Sweden,
didn't accept this invitation owing to very short time for preparation of motorcycles.
Very sad...
Best regards -

Would it be possible via the riders on the list Jan, Jason etc. for us all
to put some short mails together and ask someone to pass on to Simon our
very best wishes for whatever the future holds for him and let him know
that
the whole of the speedway world are thinking of him and praying that just
for once a miracle might occur. That way his privacy is respected.
