Subject: PALMER BREAKS LEG...

Bad news for the Isle of Wight is that popular reserve Tommy Palmer
suffered a broken leg (shin bone) in a somewhat innoccous looking fall on
the last bend of heat 2 of the exciting 45-45 draw against Edinburgh.
He underwent an operation to pin the injury this morning (Wednesday) in
Newport Hospital on the Island.
Will keep one and all advised as to Tommy's progress and match details
will follow when I get a spare moment!!!
