USA Speedway Team Receives Pre World Cup Boost!

The American Speedway Team has been handed a major boost from Hagon Shocks on the eve of the Speedway World Cup competition on June 8 at Kings Lynn's Adrian Flux Arena. American Team Manager Billy Hamill explains," Martin and Charlotte Hagon have played a major part in the growth and development of American Speedway and they continue to do so. Hagon Shocks is providing us with a complete bike along with integral parts such as wheels, clutches, mufflers, and more for the two chassis Cody Jawa has supplied us with.

Young Max Ruml and Broc Nicol have flown out ahead of time from California to assemble their machines and the Hagon's have opened their workshop facilities for these two young American riders. Logistics like this are very important for non-European based riders and good equipment is imperative! We would also like to thank Colin North and Teng Tools for providing us with high quality tools."

Bill Cody and JAWA give Team USA massive World Cup boost

Bill Cody, who is the sole distributor In the USA for JAWA, has handed Team USA a huge boost in their quest for World Cup Gold. Cody, a modern era US Speedway pioneer, rose to the call of his national teams ambitious plans.

Team Manager Billy Hamill explains; "When we bring young kids from the USA racing circuit over to a world class event (Kings Lynn SWC) their equipment is often sub standard at best. We are renting chassis and engines, and it is very hard not only on a mental level, but... a mechanical level as well. So we are gearing up."

" My goal is to put my non European based Americans on a level playing field with their counterparts which I believe is possible! These kids deserve an equal shot and I want to give them the best possible platform and machinery to show their true colors. I believe in the talent coming through the ranks, but American Speedway is very far removed from the technology and horsepower that is required to compete at a world level because of the small tracks we have here in USA where horsepower is not as imperative. Jawa and Cody racing have sponsored Team USA with Two Chassis to help these young Americans and their quest for Gold!”

Hamill continues; "I called Bill Cody just to ask him if he would be perhaps be interested in giving us a discounted price on equipment. Bill said,'I will do one better, I will give you two free chassis kits and additional parts at a killer deal'. Bill Cody and his enthusiasm to see his young American team to succeed is beyond words. I got a certain feel of American Pride from him and that is what this quest is all about. Thank You Bill Cody for your passion for American Speedway and your vision and kindness to help us bring this next generation to World Class Level.”

“We still have a lot of work to do,” Hamill said; " I now have to contact my boss Martin Hagon to as regards things such as wheels, workshop, and some tools for these young kids. It really is a grass roots effort to bring this all together at the highest level World Speedway has to offer.

Team USA - What its really all about!

The Palmese Family are thanked for becoming the latest 2015 Stars and Stripes Club Members.

Their help is of course appreciated, but the donation to the team is the lesser of a bigger story.

In 2014 Sebastian, two time 150cc National Champion, came to the UK with his grandfather Tanny, to see his future path for himself. Over the last decade, perhaps one of the best memories of the Dream Team tours and Team USA events is the wide eyed kid with his mind blown by what he is seeing on the track and off. With Sebastian, it was like that all week long. His face was an utter picture when Billy pointed to him the fellow he was chatting with in the hotel reception at one point was none other than World #2 Krystof Kasprzak. Bug eyes!

Sebastian, when asked about his experience in Europe last year, told me, "Max Ruml has been a big help to me all the years I have raced, and I have looked up to him. He had been on the 500cc bike for two years and was on the team at 17, so I want to be like Max and be on the team at 16 or 17. It was a big help to see what I need to push for and how much experience I need to race with some of the worlds fastest riders which I saw in the World Cup,"

Sebastian's speed on the 250 this winter has been stunning, and it is great that Max and Team USA lit the fire! We await your arrival for the 2020 Speedway World Cup Sebastian.

Of course, without the help of our Stars and Stripes Members, it would have been impossible to include Max in he team last year on such a last minute basis. Such contributions literally help the team go the extra mile and help the team manager put his ideas into reality. It doesn't matter whether you contribute big or small, any level seems to keep the wave of support going.

We are less than 11 weeks away from the earlier than usual 2015 SWC and once more a story will be written!

Thanks again Tanny, Jason and Sebastian!

Stars and Stripes Club Campaign

Team USA's 2015 Stars and Stripes Club campaign is off to a roaring start, with some friends old and new stepping up to assist the big push to Vojens in June.

Our first members for 2015 are the Martin Family (Steve, Margaret, Sterling and Alex), Craig and Laura Anderson, 6th year sponsor Alan Campbell and Jeff Hull out of Florida.

The Martin family, who came to Bydgoszcz in 2012 for the biggest night Team USA had in over 5 years, will once more be traveling to follow the team in 2015. Any fans out there who also wish to travel and see the greatest team speedway show on earth are encouraged to get in touch with team management.

Membership levels for 2015 are $1,000, $600, $250, $100 and $50. It doesn't matter what level you can do, the momentum builds with each and every member!

Thank you to our first donors of 2015 - it makes a big difference! #TeamUSA #SWC
