Haddick's Classic Car Night - Industry Racing, CA, USA - July 10

Charlie "The Edge" Venegas finished off a perfect night by winning the main event on Haddick's Classic Car Night at Industry Racing.

The four riders entered the main event with the extra incentive of $1,000 that an anonymous sponsor had donated to the main event purse. Venegas had first choice of starting position and picked gate one. Aaron Fox chose gate four with the second choice. Jimmy "Little Animal" Fishback, who has been driving in the Pro Lite Unlimited Class of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and was competing for the first time in a speedway event this season, selected gate two. Shawn "Mad Dog" McConnell was left with gate three.

Venegas launched from the starting line and into the lead as the field entered turn one. Fox tried to make the outside work but the former National Champion drifted up into his line on the back straight and thwarted his attack. Venegas settled onto the inside line entering turn three and McConnell went under Fox for second place. Fox settled into third in front of Fishback. Venegas cruised the rest of the way and the positions remained unchanged. Venegas was first to the checkered flag, McConnell finished second, Fox was third, and Fishback finished fourth.

Venegas kicked off the evening by defeating Fox. Tyson Burmeister blazed to victory over "Battling" Buck Blair in the second heat. Fishback showed no rust by trapping from the outside and beating Tim Gomez in event three. McConnell beat Tyson Talkington to end round one.

Former Junior National Champion Jason Ramirez started round two with a victory. Venegas beat Burmeister for his second straight win. Fox held off Blair in event 15. Fishback finished the second round with his second victory in a row.

Blair began the final round of heats by using the outside to pass and defeat McConnell. Venegas beat Talkington for his third consecutive victory. Fox handed Fishback his first defeat in event 27. Burmeister closed out the heats with a win ahead of Gomez.

Fox used a brilliant outside move in the first semi to get the win while McConnell took advantage of a Burmeister mistake to get the second transfer to the main. Venegas maintained his unbeaten evening by winning the second semi with Fishback following him into the main.

Blair was victorious in the Consolation with Gomez finishing second, Ramirez getting third, and Burmeister coming in fourth.

Chris Jones led from start to finish en route to victory in the Second Division Main Event then got off his bike performed his customary cartwheels on the front straight to the delight of the crowd. Brad "Ironman" Moreau finished second, Ron Davis was third, and Carl Gazafy finished fourth.

Kevin "Rip" Fife withstood an outside challenge from Dave Troutt on the first lap and went on to victory in the Third Division Main Event. Troutt held on to second, Steve "Beach Ball" Brown was third, and Wade Whitcomb finished fourth.

Junior National Champion Broc Nicol turned in a dominant performance and won the Junior 250 Main Event. Dalton Leedy finished second and Michael Wells was third.

Jake Isaac led the first lap of the Mini 150 Main Event but came under immense heat from Maverick Molloy and Courtney Crone on the second lap. The two charging from the back both went by Isaac at the end of the second lap. Molloy was able to get the lead but Crone didn't give up without a fight. She searched high and low to get past Molloy but was unsuccessful. Molloy crossed the finish line first, Crone had to settle for second, Isaac finished third, Tristan Britt finished fourth, and Travis Hamilton was fifth.

Luke Whitcomb charged through the field and took over the lead in the Pee Wee Main Event on the third lap and never looked back on his way to victory. Carson Calvo finished second, Andrew Russell was third, Jason Palmese Jr. finished fourth, Conner Salazar was fifth, and Jake Troutt was credited with sixth.

National Champions Joe Jones and Johnny Glover led all four laps and were victorious in the Sidecar Main Event. Dual Anderson and Ethan Smith were second, Bryan Motis and Josh Bennett finished third, and Casey Driggers and Riley Driggers were fourth.
