William Mike Curoso

April 15, 1954 - September 1, 2006

Remembering Mike Curoso who left us on this day in 2006. Mike spent 2 seasons with Hull before finishing his British career @ Poole in 1978. Mike Donaldson

Curoso, William Mike, passed away Friday, September 1st. He was born on April 15, 1954 in Santa Monica, CA. Mike, #54, was well known for his racing days at the Costa Mesa Speedway. He was twice national champ runner-up. He also competed overseas in Germany and England. He was an avid sportsman, traveling the world to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed surfing wherever and whenever he could. Most recently Mike worked as a general contractor. His craftsmanship and attention to detail was unparallel and allowed him to follow the same profession as his hero, Jesus Christ. More important than anything else to him was his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. His faith shone forth to family, friends, and new acquaintances. There was rarely a soul that met him that did not like him. His smile and sense of humor brightened your day after spending just a few moments with him. Known as a husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and a friend to all. You will be missed, but we will see you again in heaven. (Published in Orange County Register on Sept. 9, 2006)

Mike raced in the 1970's and 1980's at all the Southern California Tracks.

Rider Number: 54

Professional Achievements:
1975 - Orange County Fair Derby Champion - Costa Mesa
1973 - California State Long Track Champion - Irwingdale
