2013 Jim Mustain

James Keith Mustain left us on September 4, 2019. Called Jim, he was a regular at all the motorcycle venues. Always in the background Jim was one of those guys who took it all in but said very little. Before his wife Hilary passed the two would travel across the country to attended and support their favorite racer and motorcycle discipline. Whether a race track, Trailblazers Banquet or motorcycle gathering you would see him.

Like many of us Speedway was his passion. Jim Mustain was not the fastest rider but it mattered little. He enjoyed his track time so first or last the thrill and rush made his day worthwhile.

So what to do with a lifetime of memory’s? It’s always a hard decision cause they represent a life and love.

Jim’s good friend, pit person, and confident Murray Salyer has donated many of his motorsports items to the RAZ/Zechner Museum. These items represent more than just stuff. They belonged to a friend, a Speedway family member, someone you spoke with and shared with.

Thank you Murray, Jim will live on. When his items are viewed or people ask the who, what and where of rider #276 Jim Mustain. Rest in Peace Jim. The motorcycling community will remember.
