Due to unavailability at short notice of the Lake Elsinore venue, we will not be holding our practice match this Saturday. Apologies to all those who planned to attend. We will be holding several official practices January through March, and have three venues we plan to use.

We will take this opportunity to work on the logistics of the tour. One thing that is needed is sponsorship, both large and small, so that we do the USA proud next March! We are confirmed to race over Easter at Weymouth, Mildenhall, Sittingbourne, and Edinburgh, with more to be confirmed.

RACING AT LAKE ELSINORE

This Saturday, November 13th, Lake Elsinore Speedway will be staging a full-scale practice and British League style team event for "Dream Team USA 2005", a team of Young American riders who will tour England next Spring and race British Conference League teams. Fixtures for next Easter are confirmed at Weymouth, Mildenhall, and Sittingbourne, with more dates to be added. This weekend there will be an open practice at 11:00 a.m., followed by a 15-heat team event between the "Elsinore Eagles" and the "Winchester Wolves" at 1:30 p.m. This will be the first chance for many team members to race a big track. There will also be several riders outside of the main squad racing to make up the teams. Some of the riders who are confirmed include Shaun Harmatiuk, Dario Galvin, T.J. Fowler, Nate Perkins, Tim Gomez, Brian Starr, Dale Facchini, Neil Facchini, and John Stunkard. Confirmations awaiting from Chris Kerr, Billy Hiles, J.T. Mabry, and Michael Hernandez.

Spectators are welcome, but come prepared, the facilities at Lake Elsinore are limited. Bring your own food and drinks. Also, we are asking for a minimum $10 donation from fans. 100% of the donation goes toward the cost of funding the tour. Costs include matching race suits, dirt deflectors, etc.

More practices will be held over the winter at Lake Elsinore and other venues, with the dates to be announced. Dream Team USA 2005 is being run as a non-profit project with the purpose of preparing talented young Americans for a racing career in Europe by arriving with big-track and team-racing experience.
