Industry Racing - August 1 Dillon Ruml maintained his recent dominance by winning his third consecutive Scratch Main Event on Legends and Heroes Night at Industry Racing. Dillon Ruml had first choice of starting position in the main event and picked gate one. National Champion Billy “The Kid” Janniro chose gate two, “Mad” Max Ruml picked gate three, which left Austin Novratil with gate four. Dillon Ruml exploded from the starting line when the tapes went up and led everyone into turn one. He continued to lead on the back straight while his competitors were franticly trying to catch him. Dillon Ruml continued to lead through lap one while it was Janniro who established himself as the primary threat. He couldn’t get past the leader and Dillon Ruml was first to the checkered flag. Max Ruml finished third and Austin Novratil was fourth. Novratil opened up the evening with a victory over Dillon Ruml. Janniro beat Russell Green in the second heat. Aaron Fox beat Tim Gomez in the third heat. Bobby “Boogaloo” Schwartz led event four for two laps before Max Ruml used the outside to take the lead and end round one with his first win. Dillon Ruml beat Green to start round two. Max Ruml defeated Fox for his second straight win. Jimmy “Little Animal” Fishback held back Bob Hicks to win event 11. Janniro defeated Novratil to finish the second round with his second win in a row. Tim Gomez began the third round with a win over Colton Hicks. Dillon Ruml defeated Bob Hicks for his second consecutive heat win. Fox passed Novratil on the second lap to earn his second win. Max Ruml closed out the heats by remaining perfect with his third win. Janniro won the first semi but there was intense action behind him. Green passed Max Ruml on the outside for second place only to have Max Ruml return the favor on the next lap to take back second and the transfer to the main. Novratil took the early lead in the second semi only to have Dillon Ruml go from third to first via the outside and race away with the win. Novratil took second and the other transfer to the main. Russell Green was victorious in the Scratch Consolation with Tim Gomez finishing second and Bob Hicks coming in third. Brent Smith and Rudy Laurer entered turn one evenly but Laurer’s outside line gave him the lead on the back straight. It would be the only time the lead was contested as Laurer cruised to the victory. David Lynch finished second, Smith was third, and Eloy Medellin was credited with fourth. Colorado’s Bobby Richards led the Third Division Main Event before succumbing to the pressure placed upon him by Steve “Beach Ball” Brown just as they took the white flag. Brown led the final lap for the victory. David Newsham finished second, Richards was third, Dennis Osmer finished fourth, Greg Willis was fifth, and Kevin Fiore finished sixth. “Gentleman” Jake Isaac won his heat, his semi, and completed his perfect evening by winning the Junior 250 Main Event. Slater Lightcap was second, Alex Martin finished third, and “Lightning” Luke Whitcomb was fourth. Jose “Nitro” Navarette was leading the Mini 150 Main Event when a crash on the third lap brought out the red flag. Travis Horn suffered an injury that ruled him out of the restart. Navarrete picked up where he left off when the race resumed. His lead went unchallenged and he collected his first main event victory of the season. Nick Hohlbein was second, Levi Leutz finished third, and Owen Williams was fourth.
