Auburn, California - July 1, 2011

There is a reason that Billy Janniro is the current USA National Speedway Champion. During an excellent night of racing at Fast Friday's Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn Janniro again proved that his title is well deserved. Seemingly invincible this season, Janniro has few flaws in his racing abilities, and riders had better jump on any misstep no matter how small for a possible win. Janniro won every race he was in, including for the third time this season wins in both the Division I handicap and scratch main events. Janniro has also won six of the eight Division I scratch main events this season.

In the Division I scratch main event Friday night Janniro drew lane four and again faced Auburn's Bart Bast, who drew lane one, Bryan Yarrow in lane 2 and Charlie Venegas in lane three. Out of the gate Bast got inside with Janniro just a little higher on the track at turn one. Janniro worked the deeper dirt and passed Bast on the outside and the all to familiar two-man battle was on with Bast just off Janniro's back tire for the remainder of the race. Bast raced well, trying everything he could to get around Janniro but finished second, Yarrow was third, and Venegas was fourth. "In the scratch main, out of gate four, I don't know how I could of lost, that gate was so perfect for me tonight, it was a good night," said Janniro.

Bast also had to settle for second place behind Janniro in the handicap main event also. Off the 50 yard line Bast just couldn't find a way to beat Janniro who started on the 60-yard line. Alex Marcucci, riding well off the 20-yard line, gave Janniro and Bast a little trouble in the early laps and took third, and Bryce Starks was fourth.

In Division II Wheatland's PJ Bryne, riding in Division II for only the third night, and still riding a 250cc motorcycle, took first place in the main event. Bryne has won two of three Division II main events since moving up from Division III. Tyler Warren was second and Michael Achilles was third. The Division III main event was won by Chris Casey, followed by Bryce Taddy in second, and Chanse Vaccaro in third.

The Youth A main event was won by David Mersaroli, second was Tanner Kane, and third was Jamison Dilkey. Luke Becker topped the Youth B main event, Colton Hicks was second, Louie Mersaroli was third andDaniel Casey was fourth.

The Extreme Sidecars led by Joe Jones with his band of adrenaline seekers thrilled Fast Friday's fans again with an outstanding riding display. Jones and teammate Jimmy Olsen won the sidecar main event.
