Despite the continuing hot weather, most riders reported that the track was in great shape last night. This was the last week of Fast Fridays regular weekly program, with only championship events remaining for the rest of the season.

Scratch Main
1. Bobby Hedden

3. Bart Bast
4. Billy Hiles
Chris Kerr got the gate, but it only took Bobby Hedden a lap to get around him. Bart settled for third, with Billy Hiles close behind.

Scratch Consolation
1. Bart Bardecki
2. Bryan Yarrow
3. Bob Hicks
Mike Faria qualified for the race but was a non starter. Mike suffered engine problems while in a qualifying position in the scratch semi-final, which ended his night.

Handicap Main

Zero yard man Ivan Sevart has been in division 1 for 3 or 4 years and is due for a main event win, but it was not to be. Ivan was 40 yards ahead of the rest of the field and tried to make a run for it but there was no outrunning Bobby Hedden.

The Auburn track championship comprises the top 16 division 1 riders, the top 8 division 2 riders and the top 8 division 3 riders. It will be at least 46 races and will be the best value for money offered at Fast Fridays, indeed the best value for money in the United States, indeed probably the best in the world! Get there early, expect standing room only!

It is worth the price of admission, just to study how to run 46 races in one evening.
